    The Department of Psychology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Cognitive Psychology, with an emphasis on Cognitive Neuroscience or Computational Cognition.

    We expect to fill the position with an accomplished mid-career scientist who has a strong record of publication and grant support or a more junior scholar who conducts research on fundable topics related to normal or impaired cognition.  Research should focus either on computational modeling of large data sets or neuropsychological correlates of cognition (such as EEG or pupillometry).  Possible applications include, but are not limited to (a) individual differences in cognitive control, (b) mental illness, or (c) aging.  Candidates should also demonstrate the capacity for high quality undergraduate and graduate teaching in cognition and/or cognitive aspects of neuroscience.

    Qualifications for Candidates: Ph.D. from a university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization and a strong publication record reflecting significant scientific accomplishments. Applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse population.  Preferred qualifications include the demonstrated ability to obtain independent extramural funding. Applicants at the Associate Professor level must have an established, externally funded research program.
