Tell us why conferences are important to science, technology, and society!
Monday, July 6, 2015
Since 2012, members of our community who are employees and contractors for U.S. science agencies have been subject to significant regulations and burdensome approval processes due to government-wide policies. Multiple government investigative offices have found significantly reduced conference participation among these colleagues, to the detriment of science as a whole.
AAAS and its partner societies have sent letters and talked with policymakers, urging them to recognize the importance of conferences to the progress of science and technology. And today we’re asking you to join the conversation.

The Psychonomic Society is joining its partner science and technology societies to solicit stories that demonstrate how scientific conferences and meetings are important to the progress of science to the benefit of society.
