Bob Rehder

Bob RehderBob Rehder is a professor in the Psychology Department at New York University. His original training is in Physics and Computer Science with degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and Stanford University. He earned a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1998. He is the author of over 40 articles and book chapters. His work spans the field of higher order cognition, including topics such as categorization and category learning, causal learning and reasoning, knowledge representation, and belief revision. An important strand of his work is mathematical and computational modeling, including the connectionist and probabilistic (a.k.a., “rational”) models.
