Jeff Rouder is the Middlebush Professor of Social Sciences at the University of Missouri. He studies cognition by developing and analyzing statistical models that capture theoretically important constraints. Currently, he is fixated on the question of whether judgments, behaviors, and actions are mediated by fine-grain consideration of rich latent content or mediated by a few discrete latent states. He also has been a leader in Bayesian methods in psychology especially as applied to model comparison.
