Barbara Koslowski is Professor Emerita in the Department of Human Development at Cornell University. She completed her doctoral work in 1973 at Harvard University under Jerome S. Bruner and T. Berry Brazelton. She has worked in the areas of cognition, cognitive development, and scientific reasoning. She is the author of Theory and Evidence, which examines the ways in which theory (or explanation or mechanism) affects inferences based on the Humean indices and has written book chapters on scientific reasoning, causal reasoning, abduction, and explanation.
