Closed for Submissions All grant applicants were notified of their funding status on Sept 26, 2022
Overview The Psychonomic Society's Family Care Grant program is designed to support attendees who incur extra family care expenses (i.e., extra daycare, babysitting services, elder care, or care of a family
member with disabilities), above and beyond their regular family care expenses, in order to present at the annual meeting.
All 2022 meeting attendees are eligible to apply, provided they indicate financial need and are Society members in good standing or undergraduate students.
Call for Applications: CLOSED The extended submission deadline was September 20th. All applicants were notified of their funding status on September 26th. Funds will be distributed
by December 31, 2022 (after the meeting).
Available Funding This year, the Society is offering a combination of $100 USD grants (no receipts required) for remote attendees and up to $500 USD in reimbursable expenses (receipts required)
for in person attendees. The total available funding for 2022 is $5,000 USD.
Eligibility and Terms Family Care Grants are available to Society members in good standing and to undergraduate students who will present at the Annual Meeting, who specify financial need, and
who indicate that they are incurring additional family care expenses (childcare, elderly care, etc.) in order to be present for the meeting and give their presentation. Applications are reviewed by the
PS Awards Committee. Applicants will be notified of their status by mid-October. Awardees who do not attend the meeting will forfeit their award.
Disbursement of Funds Remote attendees who indicate financial need are eligible for $100 USD grants (no receipts required). In person attendees who indicate financial need are eligible
for up to $500 USD for reimbursable expenses (receipts required). Funds will be dispersed after the meeting and no later than December 31, 2022, or within 15 business days after the submission of qualifying receipts (if
applicable).
Application Misrepresentation The Psychonomic Society reserves the right to deny funds to any applicant who misrepresents their financial need. Submitted receipts (if applicable) should reflect
the family care expenses outlined in the recipient's grant application.
