2024 Affiliate Meetings

The Psychonomic Society is pleased to support the many affiliate meetings associated with our annual meeting. The resources below answer many common organizer questions.

The Annual Meeting is exciting and diverse, with seemingly endless choices to learn about the most cutting-edge science covering every specialty in cognition along with the opportunity to connect with the finest minds in the field from institutions all over the world. This year, all presentations will be held in-person. We will live stream our keynote and symposia for those who cannot attend in person.

 

 

ORGANIZER RESOURCES

CONFIRMATION FORM

If you plan on holding an Affiliate Meeting in conjunction with Psychonomics this year, we ask that you complete and submit our online form (Psychonomics 2024 Affiliate Meeting Confirmation) by May 3rd.

 

PS SUPPORT
The Psychonomic Society is pleased to subsidize a portion of your meeting expenses this year by offering:

  • Complimentary meeting space on-site in the Marriott (including theatre style seating, (sorry, no tables in the audience this year), head table, podium, registration table, and posterboard access in our poster hall located in Majestic Ballroom for Thursday, November 21st).
  • Up to $2,500 toward audio-visual equipment (includes one Windows PC laptop, an LCD projector, screen, podium microphone, wireless lavalier microphone, audience microphone, wireless advancer, sound system, and technical support). Costs exceeding $2,500 will be the responsibility of the Affiliate to pay. As of April 1, 2024, the aforementioned equipment and labor are estimated at $3,500 (subject to change), meaning each Affiliate would be responsible for supplemental cost of $1,000 for the basic, standard AV package. An other AV/recording/live streaming requests will be at the Affiliate's expense.
  • Complimentary listing of your meeting on the Psychonomic Society’s affiliate meetings’ webpage.
  • A one-page complimentary ad in our abstract book. Art submission deadline is July 19th.
  • One complimentary 22x28 meeting sign outside of your meeting room.

To take advantage of PS's support, your organization must agree to these requirements:

  • Select one representative from your organization to communicate with PS staff.
  •  Identify a ‘point person’ to collect all the presentations for your meeting and upload them to the Windows PC laptop provided prior to the start of your meeting; the audio-visual vendor will not be responsible for connecting multiple, individual laptops to the projector once the meeting begins.

 

PS REGISTRATION AND GUEST ROOMS
We encourage all your attendees, speakers, and guests to register for the PS Annual Meeting. Registration is free when you are a current member of the society. The Governing Board implemented registration fees for attending the meeting this November and beyond.  Please review our registration rates here as well as the announcement email.   Registration and the hotel guest room block open in early July.  PS does not require registration for our meeting to attend your affiliate meeting.

 

PS REGISTRATION HOURS
Registration hours for the 2024 Annual Meeting are (subject to change): 

Thursday, November 21:  9 AM – 8:30 PM Eastern
Friday, November 22:  7 AM – 6 PM Eastern 
Saturday, November 23:  7 AM – 6 PM Eastern

Sunday, November 24:  7 AM – 12 PM Eastern

  

AFFILIATE MEETING REGISTRATION
You may charge registration (or not) fees for your affiliate meeting. PS does not provide support for your registration, including the collection of registration fees.

 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE
If you require food and beverage for your meeting, PS staff will provide you with your hotel catering contact after you return your completed Affiliate Detail Request Form which will be sent in the summer. Please do not contact the hotel until we have provided you with this information. Your group will handle all F&B selections as well as payments with the hotel’s catering contact directly.

RESPONSE DEADLINE
Please complete the online form Psychonomic 2024 Affiliate Meeting Confirmation by May 3rd. Meeting space is limited, and we may not be able to guarantee space after this date.
