Meetings of the Psychonomic Society

The Psychonomic Society Meetings program serves as a key component in the Society's mission to promote the communication of scientific research in psychology and allied sciences. Programs range from the well established Annual Meeting, with an attendance of more than 2,400 (or 3,000 virtually in 2021), to Psychonomics International, where 700 attendees enjoyed the wonderful city of Amsterdam (the next Psychonomics International meeting is has been indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic), to the intimate setting of an Estes Fund workshops and summer schools. The Psychonomic Society also partners with the European Society of Cognitive Psychology (ESCoP), the Experimental Psychology Society (EPS), the Japanese Society for Cognitive Psychology (JSCP), the International Conference on Memory (ICOM), and other societies on our Collaborative Symposia initiative.

These programs provide opportunities for scientific exchange, collaboration, and engagement.

Leading Edge
Workshops

(discontinued in 2024)
Now in its 66th year, the meeting is the best place to present research, hear about the latest discoveries, trends, and challenges in the field, and develop collaborations that can enhance your career. Psychonomics International (PI), previously the International Meeting of the Psychonomic Society (IMPS), held every three years, was created to enhance the scientific exchange of cognitive science; maximize the reach of the Society; support the promotion of our journals; as well as foster new collaborations outside of North America. Leading Edge Workshops advance knowledge and understanding by bringing together senior scientists and early career investigators to examine the most innovative cognitive science.

Estes Fund Workshops

Collaborative Symposia
The Estes Fund supports a variety of activities aimed at strengthening methodology in mathematical, quantitative and experimental psychology and related areas.              The program aims to strengthen the communication and collaboration between the Society and other international societies representing the field of experimental and cognitive psychology through an annual, jointly organized, cutting-edge topical symposium held at the other international societies’ regular annual meetings.
