Dora Matzke is Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology of the University of Amsterdam and chair of the Psychological Methods Unit. Dr. Matzke’s research combines cognitive modeling with cutting-edge mathematical and computational methods, focusing on decision making in general, and the ability to stop (i.e., inhibit) inappropriate responses in particular. In 2015, she was recognized as a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science and was awarded the inaugural Leamer-Rosenthal Prize for Emerging Researchers from the Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences. Dr. Matzke received an Early Career Award (2016) from the Society for Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Science (American Psychological Association) and the William K. Estes Early Career Award (2019) from the Society for Mathematical Psychology. In 2018, she was elected as fellow of the Young Academy of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences and in 2019 she was elected to the Executive Board of the Society for Mathematical Psychology. In 2023, she received the Psychonomic Society Early Career Award. On January 1 2024, Dr. Matzke will become Editor-in-Chief of Behavioral Research Methods.
