Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Developmental Psychology

 

The Department of Psychology at North Dakota State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Developmental Psychology to begin August 2026. We encourage applications from candidates who conduct quantitative research on developmental psychology at any stage of life. A successful candidate will be expected to offer undergraduate courses in developmental psychology or related topics and to contribute to the teaching and training of graduate students.

 

Responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining a high-quality independent quantitative research program, teaching three (3) courses total per year at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, and contributing to the service needs of the university and profession. The minimum qualifications for the position are: PhD degree in Psychology or related discipline by anticipated start date, evidence of research productivity, a research plan including at least some primary data collection, ability to teach courses in developmental psychology at the undergraduate level and to contribute to graduate teaching and training, and effective written and oral communication skills. People from historically underrepresented backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
