Evan Risko |
Evan F. Risko is currently an Associate Professor and a Canada Research Chair in the Psychology Department at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Risko’s research focuses on a number of topics including cognitive offloading, effort perception, mind wandering and the application of research in cognitive science to training and education. His research has been funded by the Canada Research Chairs program, the Canadian Foundation for Innovation, the Ontario Research Fund, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, Mitacs, and several industry partners. He has been the recipient of the Early Researcher Award from the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation, the Canadian Society for Brain, Behaviour and Cognitive Science Early Career Award, the Psychonomic Society Early Career Award and the Women in Cognitive Science – Canada Mentorship Award. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory and Cognition and has served as a consulting editor for Attention, Perception and Psychophysics, and served on the editorial board of the Canadian Journal of Experimental Psychology.
