Nadia Brashier

Nadia BrashierNadia Brashier is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of California, San Diego, where she studies memory and judgment across the lifespan. She earned a Ph.D. from Duke University and completed a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University. Dr. Brashier’s research identifies the memory failures and cognitive ‘shortcuts’ that leave people vulnerable to misinformation. Her lab uses behavioral and neuroimaging tools to investigate why young and older adults fall for fake news. Dr. Brashier has received funding from the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and Meta. She was previously recognized as a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science and is honored to receive the Psychonomic Society Early Career Award.
