The Psychonomic Society Clifford T. Morgan Best Article Award honors individuals for the best paper published in each Psychonomic Society journal in the last year. Articles are chosen by each of the Society's journals during the summer and the selected first authors of those papers will be honored at the Annual Meeting and receive a monetary award. One recipient from each journal is chosen to receive an $1,000 award.

Clifford T. Morgan
Clifford Thomas Morgan, professor of psychology at the University of Texas was born in Minolta, New Jersey in 1915. He received his undergraduate education at Maryville College and his PhD from Rochester University in 1939. He passed away in 1976 in Austin, Texas.
W. R. Garner, Yale University, wrote a wonderful memorial to the November 1976 meeting of the Psychonomic Society of which Morgan was a founding member and the first Governing Board Chair.
