Angela de Bruin is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the Department of Psychology at the University of York, UK. She received her BA in Linguistics in 2011 and MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2013 (both from Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands), followed by a PhD in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, UK (awarded in 2017). Angela’s research focuses on bilingualism, language production, and cognitive ageing. She studies how multilinguals use and switch between multiple languages across the lifespan, in a range of interactional contexts. Angela is the secretary of the steering committee for the International Symposium on Bilingualism; EPS (Experimental Psychology Society, UK) committee member; and associate editor for Journal of Memory and Language. Her current research is funded by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) under the UK government’s Horizon Europe funding Guarantee for selected ERC grants.
