Diane Pecher is a full professor of cognitive psychology in the Department of Psychology, Education and Child Sciences at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. She got her PhD in 1999 from the University of Amsterdam for her thesis "Dynamics of Semantic Memory" under supervision of Jeroen Raaijmakers. She did several postdoc projects at Utrecht University, University of California at Riverside, Emory University Atlanta, and Indiana University at Bloomington. She has been at Erasmus University since 2002. Her research deals with the broad topic of memory, and in particular the nature of conceptual memory. Specific questions that she has addressed are the effect of context on mental representations and the interaction between sensory-motor processing on concepts.
