Karen B. Schloss is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and Wisconsin Institute for Discovery at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She received her BA from Barnard College, Columbia University, and her PhD from the University of California, Berkeley. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation (CAREER award). She has served as a Consulting Editor for Psychonomic Bulletin & Review, a Feature Editor for the Journal of Vision, and a Program Committee Member for IEEE VIS. She is the recipient of an Early Career Award from the Psychonomic Society and travel awards from the Vision Sciences Society and Women in Cognitive Science. She is a fellow of the Psychonomic Society, a founding member of FoVea (Females of Vision et al.), and Secretary of the Configural Processing Consortium. She has published more than 35 journal articles and chapters, and has appeared in interviews by the Wall Street Journal, Data Stories, Psychology Today, and Scientific American.
