Hotels
Online access to room blocks at host hotels is closed. Please be advised you may still have access to the negotiated rate pending availability at the InterContinental Montréal and Le Westin Montréal. When you call, make certain to identify yourself as a 2019 Psychonomic Annual Meeting participant.
Book your rooms well in advance as the Psychonomic Society’s contracted room blocks sell out quickly. For each hotel below, there is a “cutoff date” listed. This means that the discounted group rate, also listed for each hotel, is guaranteed only before that date and as long as the Psychonomic block has not sold out. The discounted group rate is available three days prior and three days after the Annual Meeting. Please be sure to verify the rates for each date when making your reservation. If you call the hotel to make a reservation, please be sure to ask for the Psychonomic Society’s Group Rate.

Only Book Directly
Recently, in the convention/annual meeting business, companies are inaccurately representing themselves as a "housing vendor" and are contacting individuals soliciting business. Specifically, they will offer to make hotel reservations within the Psychonomic Society block on your behalf, or even offer you a discount from the Psychonomic Society rate.
The Psychonomic Society is not utilizing any housing services for our 2019 Annual Meeting in Montréal. Reservations for the 2019 Annual Meeting should be made directly with the hotel, either by phone or via their web reservation system using the links provided above. If you provide your credit card information to any of these unauthorized vendors, your card may be charged but you may not have a reservation when you arrive in Montréal. THIS IS A SCAM!
Some traditional pirate company offenders are (DO NOT USE):
- Convention Housing Authority
- Convention Housing Planners Corp.
- Corporate Booking Services (CBS Inc.)
- Event Travel Planners
- Exhibitors Housing Management
- Exhibitors Housing Services
- Expo Housing Services
- Global Expo
- Global Housing Services Corporation
- Global Travel Partners

Public Transportation
Public transport and taxi are both convenient and affordable ways to get around Montréal. The metro (subway) system is clean, safe and fast. As an added bonus, the public transit network is relatively simple, with just four lines connecting the downtown center to major tourist sites, bus stops and train stations. The metro operates daily from 5:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. (1:30 a.m. on Saturdays). The average wait time between trains is eight minutes and three minutes during rush hour.
Driving in Québec
- Québec uses the metric system, so speeds are indicated in kilometres (100 km/h = 62 mph) and gas is sold in litres (3 3/4 litres = 1 US gallon).
- Right turn: Although turning right on a red light is authorized across Québec (except at intersections where a sign indicates this is not permitted), rights on reds are strictly prohibited on the island of Montréal.
- Cell Phone: Use of a hand-held cell phone that does not have a hands-free function is prohibited while driving.
- Parking: There are many paid parking lots and automatic pay stations.
