Meeting Resources

Keynote Address

The 2021 Keynote Address, "The Adaptable Speaker: Speech Errors Reveal Implicit Learning in the Language Production System," will be delivered by Gary Dell (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne, USA) on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 7:30 PM U.S. Central Time. Read more.

Symposia
Five symposia will be presented at the 2021 Annual Meeting. The full list of symposia is available here

Program Corrections
The deadline for submitting corrections to the program was Friday, October 22.

Abstract Acceptance Letters
All spoken and poster presenters should have already received confirmation of their accepted abstracts. If you submitted an abstract and have not received your confirmation, please contact Member Services at info@psychonomic.org or +1 847-375-3696 and include the title of your abstract.

Spoken and Poster Presentations
The 2021 Poster Presentation Guide and Spoken Presentation Guide are now available. Please consult the appropriate guide for instructions on how to prepare and submit your talk or poster. The deadline for submitting posters and talk recordings has passed. Spoken session presenters should be prepared for the live Q&A's that follow all talks. Poster presenters should be present for the one-hour poster session to which they have been assigned.

If you are no longer able to present at the meeting or if you have questions about your spoken or poster session, please contact Member Services at info@psychonomic.org or +1 847-375-3696.

Availability Online
The 2021 Annual Meeting will be held entirely online. Posters will be available for early, on-demand viewing beginning a few days prior to the meeting. All talks and posters will be available for the duration of the meeting and for six months after the meeting concludes.

Registration - CLOSED
All attendees must register. Registration includes access to the keynote address and all symposia, talks, poster sessions, and networking events. Registration will be accepted on a rolling basis through the end of the conference; however, there is a short delay from when a person registers to when they receive an email with instructions for setting up their virtual meeting platform account. An online account is required in order to join the meeting. For this reason, all attendees are strongly encouraged to register well in advance.

Statement on Harassment
The Psychonomic Society is an inclusive and welcoming organization, and our meeting should reflect those values. Conference attendees and visitors should enjoy freedom of speech, freedom of thought, and freedom from harassment of all kinds. Recent events in the media remind us that academic settings are where we must be especially vigilant. As a scientific society, we do not want to police behavior, nor do we wish to dampen the professional and personal interactions that are so important to our meeting. But we do encourage members to take into account others’ perspectives and consider how a question, comment, or invitation might be received when there is a power differential between parties. No attendee should feel vulnerable to harassment at our meetings, or feel that they are enduring a climate of fear or hostility. Let’s all work together to ensure that our values of inclusion, respect, and professionalism are philosophies that are enjoyed by all of our members and attendees.

Special Assistance
The Psychonomic Society wishes to ensure that no individual is excluded because of the absence of auxiliary aids or services identified in the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you require special assistance at the meeting, please complete the appropriate section of the online registration form or e-mail meetings@psychonomic.org.

Program and Conference Organization
The Secretary, Reed Hunt, has the responsibility for organizing the program, and the Program Committee reviews all submissions. They do so with the indispensable help of Lou Shomette, Executive Director; Stephanie Dylkiewicz, Director of Meetings; Tiffany Aurora, Director of Membership, Marketing, & Communications; Sarah Bilissis, Director of Operations; Joe Dobbs, Member Services Specialist; Laura Harris, Meetings Administrator; Brianna Johnson, Education Manager; Josh Karney, Senior Manager, Professional Relations; Jerrod Liveoak, Editorial Staff; Juliana Loiola, Registration Coordinator; Phyllis Milz, Finance Manager; Julie Rogers, Editorial Staff; and Timothy Utesch, Graphic Designer.
