House Science Committee Passes Scientific Integrity Act and Bipartisan Report on Politicization of Government Science

Last week, the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology passed the Scientific Integrity Act (HR 1709), a bill to strengthen scientific integrity policies across the federal government and to protect civil servant scientists and research data from political interference. The legislation would require some federal research agencies to develop and follow clear principles designed to protect scientists and the research they carry out from political influence.   Read more  »

Steven D. Hollon, Ph.D. is the Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor of Psychology at Vanderbilt University. His research focuses on the nature and treatment of depression, with a particular emphasis on the enduring effects of psychosocial treatments.
