Biden Signs Dozens of EOs in First Weeks as President

Since taking office on January 20th, President Biden has issued dozens of Executive Orders (EOs) on a wide range of topics — COVID-19, climate change, criminal detention agencies, to name a few — many revoking EOs issued by the former administration. FABBS Endorses Science and Technology Action Plan

The Science & Technology Action Committee is a nonpartisan coalition of non-profit, academic, foundation, and corporate leaders working to dramatically strengthen the U.S. science and technology infrastructure. OBSSR Working Groups Featured at NIH Council of Councils

The NIH Council of Councils met virtually on January 29 with the behavioral and social sciences prominent on the agenda. The Council received an update on the Basic Behavioral and Social Sciences Research Working Group (bBSSR) co-chaired by William T. Database of Police Outcomes May Be First Step to Reduce Racial Bias

Communities nationwide are trying various strategies to combat the inherent bias and stereotyping that not only target black people but also can cause perpetrators to deny feelings of pain experienced by minorities. “Whiteness serve(s) as a protective factor,”Kimberly Barsamian Kahn and Karin D.
