Senate Holds Nomination Hearing for Top White House Science Advisor

The U.S Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation met on April 29 to discuss and question Dr. Eric Lander, who is President Biden’s nominee for Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP)an agency recently elevated to a cabinet-level post. Read more »

 

NASEM - Changing Culture for Data Sharing

The National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) hosted a workshop on April 28–29 for researchers, institutions, and funders to examine strategies for effective data management and sharing.The workshop also sought to assess stakeholder preparedness for implementation of the final policy for data management and sharing for all National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded research starting January 25, 2023.
