The Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) will be in San Francisco November 11 – 17.  Prepare for street closures and transit changes that will impact routes and commute times for public & private transit, taxis/cabs, and rideshares.  Expect slightly increased ground transit time for any type of vehicle commute.  Plan accordingly with these resources:

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) from airports

Between San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and the Hilton San Francisco Union Square:			Between Oakland International Airport (OAK) and the Hilton San Francisco Union Square:
BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) is the best public transit option for attendees to take between San Francisco International Airport and the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.  It’s very convenient and one-way is $10.  Here’s a link to their web page   https://www.bart.gov/.  Here’s more specific information about BART operating in/out of San Francisco International Airport.   Here’s a map of the pick-up location at SFO airport ; the BART station is located in the International Terminal, a short walk from Terminals 1 and 3.  You can also take the free SFO AirTrain from all terminals directly to the BART station.  Please see a sample snippet (as shown on right) of a ride from SFO to the hotel, which is about a 30 min commute total between the BART and a .3 mile walk from the nearest station to the hotel. San Francisco’s average high in November is mid-60’s°F and the low is low-50’s°F; expect some rain.  Meeting room temperatures tend to vary.  Please bring a light sweater or jacket to all meetings.
