FABBS is monitoring several pieces of legislation that would reform federal Cannabis regulations. Currently, cannabis is considered a Schedule I drug by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA); this poses significant barriers to studying potential risks and benefits of the plant.Read more »

 

The Government Accountability Office (GAO), a federal agency known as the “Congressional Watchdog,” publishedrecommendationsto improve scientific integrity at several health agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The document offers guidance to agencies on how to protect scientific decision-making from political interference. Read more »

 

The Equitable Data Working Group released theirreport of recommended practicesfor federal agencies towards a vision for equitable data. The Group was established by President Biden’s Executive Order onAdvancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government.Read more »
