History of the One World Cognitive Psychology Seminar Series
A team at the University of Mannheim School of Social Sciences, led by Beatrice Kuhlmann, Meike Kroneisen, Arndt Bröder, and Edgar Erdfelder, introduced the  One World Cognitive Psychology Seminar in early 2020, to continue providing a platform for dissemination of research findings during the COVID-19 pandemic. The seminar was hosted weekly online via Zoom. It featured a presentation by an exceptional cognitive psychologist and was then followed by audience discussion. The seminar was highly successful, regularly attracting 100-150 people for each presentation. To view talk recordings and past programs, click here.

Transition to the Psychonomic Society
In order to keep this seminar going, the team at the University of Mannheim School of Social Sciences approached the Psychonomic Society about taking over the series. The Governing Board enthusiastically approved the idea. The Psychonomic Society extends its heartfelt gratitude to the University of Mannheim for creating this seminar and ensuring its ongoing success by transitioning the series to a space where it will have ongoing staff support.

Diversity Statement
The Psychonomic Society is committed to scientific merit, which entails the inclusion of scientists regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, disability status, country of origin, geographic location, and disciplinary expertise. As our members submit nominations and proposals, we ask that they critically examine their deliberations to eliminate biases that detract from our commitment to merit.
